The Day Hell Froze Over!


Now isn't it about time you understood that Good Friday is called "GOOD" for a reason?



And what was that reason?



Because on Good Friday Jesus left His body on that cross, and passing over from this life to the next, made war with Satan.



And not war without purpose, but war with Victory in mind.



And Victory our Lord did achieve; for on this day-Good Friday some 2000 years ago-our Lord did engage in battle with Satan, making short work of him and his minions.



Specifically, when He left that cross, our Lord, along with His Heavenly armies, rode down into Hell upon their white horses and conquered the underworld!



Our Lord first conquered Satan, casting him into the bottomless pit and sealing him there.



He then, after casting along with him the other fallen angels, broke down the gates of Hell that had for so long held captive the saints having died throughout the Old Testament.



Then, as He stepped across that threshold into what had been Satan's kingdom, "Hell Froze Over!" as the light of Christ filled that place-and it became Paradise.



As Paradise appeared, our Lord then called forth His saints, as He did Lazarus while He yet walked the earth, and out from their dungeon cells came all the saints of old-out into the light of their Lord and God Jesus Christ.



And so it was that "Hell Froze Over".



And the light did shine-even into the depths of Hell.



And freedom came to mankind on this Good Friday some 2000 years ago.
